The wounded included Rose Marie Navares, 43, of barangay Mabolo, Cebu City, Jomar Secretaria, of sitio Magtipasi, Balud, and Gentor Coronado, 39, of barangay Sangat, San Fernando.

The police said the four were on board an FM Liner mini bus bound for Cebu City from Sibonga town.

Bus collector Robert Delfin, 24, remembered the gunman getting on the bus at sitio Acacia, barangay Balud, San Fernando while Gomez got on in sitio Magtalisay, also of Balud.    Delfin said he was at the door of the bus when a man, who wore a black jacket and his face covered with his long hair, shot Gomez.

He said the armed man appeared to be after two men but the other one got off from the bus quickly, and the armed man giving chase.

The wounded were hit by stray bullets.

Chief Inspector Sara Recla, chief of San Fernando Police Station said personal grudges could be one of the motives for the killing.

But she said the killing may also be connected to the election.
