So far, the Alay Lakad Foundation has extended scholarship grants to 421 students.

There will be awards to be given to the biggest contribution, most colorful group, liveliest group, oldest and youngest participants.

The Alay Lakad is a concept that started in Manila in 1972 with the Department of Social Welfare and Development in partnership with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.

It was then launched nationwide with the participation of more sectors, such as the civic clubs, non-government organizations, and other government offices and agencies. (FREEMAN)
