BFP, PAF, CHED, PhilsCA join fire, earthquake drill

CEBU, Philippines - BFP, PAF, CHED, City Health Department of Lapu-Lapu City and Philippine State College of Aeronautics or PhilsCA participated in a fire and earthquake drill at the Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base the other day.

Peth Fudolig and Leonardo Tanael Jr. of CHED said the activity was based on a CHED Memorandum No. 9 series 2013 which states that every year all state colleges and universities are mandated to undergo a fire and earthquake drill.

PhilsCA campus director Dr. Nonadel A. Soriano and PhilsCA chief of security and safety department Engr. Cercon Maiso heeded the memorandum.

Invited to watch the drill were 2LT. Ma. Eufemia Tonelada of the PAF base hospital, SFO1 Atilano Berido, and FO3 Ceasario Ceniza of the Lapu-Lapu City Fire Department.

SFO1 Berido graded the drill “satisfactory.” (FREEMAN)
