Talisay CH revamp coming up

CEBU, Philippines - A revamp of Talisay City hall departments is imminent, according to new public information officer (PIO) Vincie Monterde.

He said department heads and regular employees will be reshuffled next week.

First on the list is the human resource department.

It is headed by Hazel Bathan, daughter of city treasurer Emma Macuto.

Monterde said salaries of department heads who will become assistants to department heads will not be reduced.

Monterde said city planning development coordinator (CPDC) Christine Homez will be transferred as head of the city engineering office but Monterde did not say where city engineer Audie Bacasmas will be transferred.

Aside from department heads, 197 city hall regular employees will be affected by the revamp.

He said the contracts of some job orders hired by the past administration were renewed for the purpose of training new job orders.

Monterde said the posting of the list of names of new job orders has been temporarily stopped because the number hired has exceeded the quota.

There are only 954 job orders in the master list of Mayor Johnny delos Reyes but 1,200 have already been hired.

Some people claim names were inserted in the list.

Monterde said the master list of the mayor should be the only one to be followed.

Vice Mayor Romeo Villarante said punch cards for job orders are still being prepared and assured that a week from now, all job orders will have assignments. (FREEMAN)
