CEBU, Philippines - Lone District of Lapu-Lapu Congresswoman-elect Aileen Radaza, in a speech during the graduation at the Development Academy of the Philippines, said she will prioritize senior citizens, employment, and education.

Radaza is one of the number of neophyte members of the House of Representatives being trained at the Development Academy of the Philippines.

Radaza said learning is one of life’s never ending journey and that it does not end after university nor does it culminate here.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to undergo this specialized training offered by the Development Academy of the Philippines or (DAP),” Radaza said.

She further said that she is also honored to be a classmate of congresswoman-elect Leni Robredo.

“I will look up to her as my elder sister in the House of Representatives. Both of us are neophyte congresswomen,” she said.

The congresswoman said “On our own, we decided to undergo this short course in order to equip ourselves with the skills as we work in the Lower House.”

In the few days that I was here to learn to be a good legislator, my eyes were opened to development, legislation, and governance, she said. (FREEMAN)
