Town official pushes backyard gardening

CEBU, Philippines - A neophyte councilor in Cordova town yesterday said he will introduce measures aimed at encouraging residents in the town to engage in backyard gardening.

Councilor Cesar Munez said he has seen empty, unproductive lots that can easily be transformed into gardens.

“Kadaghanan sa atong mga kaigsoonan diha sa barangay gikinahanglan nga sila edukahon kun unsa ka importante nga sila mananom diha sa ilang nataran,” Munez said.
