“Habal-habal” driver killed
CEBU, Philippines - One of two men on a motorcycle shot and killed Wednesday evening a motorcycle taxi, or “habal-habal,†driver along Plaridel Street, barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue City.
Killed was Ricky Daisog, 32, married, of Purok Talong in barangay Cambaro, Mandaue City.
Investigative and Detective Management Branch investigator SPO2 Marcos Noval said Daisog was waiting for passengers near a gasoline station when two men on a motorcycle shot him seven times, killing him instantly.
The attending physician recovered six bullets from Daisog’s body. It was apparent the gunman used a caliber .45 pistol.
Police said Daisog was knifed on the thigh recently by a still unidentified attacker.
They will check rumors that link the man to illegal drug abuse. (FREEMAN)
