Man killed, live-in partner wounded in attack at home

CEBU, Philippines - A man was shot dead while his live-in partner was wounded in an attack the other night inside their bedroom in sitio Lawis, barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City by a still unidentified man.
Carl Philip Mangubat, 24, was hit in the head while live-in partner Gina Vertudazo, 24, sustained a wound on the foot.
Witnesses claimed they heard two bursts of gunfire at around 8 p.m. and that the gunman was small in build, and wore a red t-shirt and black pants.
They said the man fled immediately after the shooting.
Found at the crime scene were empty shells of cal. 9mm gun and slugs at the crime scene.
Police theorize the gunman fired his gun through a window. (FREEMAN)
