Mandaue police recover stolen car in Cebu City
CEBU, Philippines - A car stolen in barangay Basak, Mandaue City last Sunday was recovered Tuesday along Sepulveda Street in barangay Zapatera Street, Cebu City.
Margarita Impas parked her silver Toyota Corolla Sedan in front of her house Sunday evening and got off without taking the keys with her.
On that same night, Drexsil Seno, who lives in the same barangay, stole the car.
Seno is notorious for stealing cars, Basak police station chief P Sr./Insp Wilson Abot said.
Abot said when the police got word of Seno’s presence in barangay Kamagayan in Cebu City, they immediately sprang into action and recovered the car, minus the stereo, alternator, and tool box.
Abot said the police failed to arrest Seno, who has been in and out of prison for stealing cars. (FREEMAN)
