Juvenile stabs two neighbors
CEBU, Philippines - A 15-year-old boy stabbed two neighbors for allegedly humiliating his mother Monday evening in barangay Lawaan III, Talisay City.
Stabbed twice on the back was Maria Sadagnot, 41, resident of the place sustained two stabbed wounds on her back while her son Joshua Sadagnot, 19, sustained a stab wound on the body.
The two were taken to the Talisay City District Hospital but due to their condition they were transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
SPO1 Edgar Causon said when the boy allegedly heard his mother being humiliated, he picked up a pair of scissors and struck Sadagnot and her son.
After the incident, tanods picked up the boy and turned him over to the Talisay City Police Station.
On other hand, the boy’s mother told police that a daughter of Sadagnot went to her house with a kitchen knife and attacked her.
She said she sustained bruises when she tried to avoid the daughter’s thrusts.
PO2 Violeta Godinez of TCPS Women and Children Protection Desk said the Sadagnot woman often humiliated the boy’s family for being poor and must have provoked the boy to retaliate. (FREEMAN)
