Police watching Joavan
CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City Police Station officer-in-charge Superintendent Elmer Lim said the police will not be preoccupied with the latest incident involving Mayor Socrates Fernandez’s son Joavan.
Lim said Joavan’s movements will be monitored, being an election threat, but he will be regarded as any common threat, despite his notoriety.
Just this week, Joavan allegedly was seen tucking a gun in sitio Kawayanan, barangay Lagtang while putting up campaign posters.
The woman who saw Joavan with a gun will not press charges.
Lim said Joavan did not threaten the woman but the police will arrest him if he broke the law. (FREEMAN)
