PDEA arrests tanod for illegal drug
CEBU, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7 arrested a barangay tanod during a buy-bust operation Tuesday afternoon in barangay Poblacion, Cordova town.
Mario Inoc, 51, was arrested at his residence after handing one small packet of shabu to a poseur buyer in exchange for P300.
Seized from Inoc was alleged shabu placed in packets.
Inoc did not resist arrest.
Intelligence Officer 2 Jelou Anthony Paca said Inoc could dispose of less than P200,000 worth of shabu in a week.
Paca also said PDEA arrested Inoc in 2009 for the same offense and was recently released from jail.
Cordova police Chief Insp. Alvin Balio said Inoc killed his brother but no case was filed against him after his family refused to pursue a murder case.
Inoc is now detained at the PDEA-7 stockade pending the filing of charges against him. (FREEMAN)
