Cordova’s poor still go to Lapu-Lapu hospital

Jose P. Sollano - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City Hospital still accepts patients from Cordova town without receiving a single centavo from the municipal government.

Lapu-Lapu City Hospital Chief, Dr.; Bolivar Minoza, Jr. said most of the patients from the town are poor.

“Obligado gyud ta nga modawat sa mga pasyente gikan sa lungsod sa Cordova nga madala sa maong tambalanan,” Minoza said.

The Freeman learned that a number of indigent patients from the town prefer the city hospital over the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

City Mayor Paz Radaza has assured the hospital of a bigger budget. (FREEMAN)
