Brenda Batuto - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - On March 17, the sea side of Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) from barangay Tanke to barangay Mohon will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 4:30 a.m. to give way to a triathlon.  It will reopen at 10 a.m.

The other side of the lane will open to two-way traffic.

Dela Peña said the triathlon will start at 6:00 a.m. and end at 10:00 a.m.

Dela Peña said there will be no rerouting of vehicles.

In another development, starting yesterday, the traffic lights systems at the CSCR in barangay San Isidro junction and at sitio Laray in barangay San Roque, Talisay will be operated manually.

Almond Keith Dela Peña of City of Talisay Traffic Operation Development Authority (CT-TODA) said that the materials for the conversion of traffic lights had arrived.

Dela Peña said the mother boards for the lights had  burned.  But he said the city plans to revert systems back to automatic mode.  (FREEMAN)
