Consolacion to take a peek at landfill

CEBU, Philippines - Consolacion town will take a look at the privately-owned sanitary landfill to make sure it complies with all the requirements.

Vice Mayor Aurelio Damole said the landfill was initiated by the administration of former mayor Avelino Gungob, Sr.

The vice mayor said the administration of Mayor Teresa Alegado wants to make sure the landfill continues to operate without hitches.

Damole  denied that town officials are making money from the project.

“Wala gyud igong basihanan kon ang atong mga kaatbang sa politika magduda nga nakakwarta ta diha sa private sanitary landfill,” Damole said.  (FREEMAN)
