CEBU, Philippines - After two weeks of surveillance, police arrested Monday evening a woman, her son, and a nephew after selling shabu to a poseur buyer in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

Editha Bahio, 52, Pegy Bahio, 32, and Anthony Nuñez, 36, all residents of barangay Mactan are now detained  at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Headquarters detention cell.

Chief of Mactan Police Station (Station 2) Police Chief Inspector Conrado Manatad said the aim of the operation was to arrest the woman but it was her son Pegy who received the money and who handed the shabu over to the buyer.

Police seized the P300 buy-bust money, shabu, and a notebook containing a list indicating the amount of shabu to be disposed of by Editha, Pegy, and Nuñez.

Editha denied being engaged in big-time drug dealing but admitted getting a small percentage from sales. – (FREEMAN)
