Dressmaker shot dead

CEBU, Philippines - A dressmaker was shot dead while preparing breakfast early morning yesterday in barangay Bugho, San Fernando town.

Eusibia Canoy, 39, succumbed to two gunshot wounds to the temple and abdomen.

Her attackers fled on a motorcycle towards barangay Ubod.

Desk officer SPO2 Victor Cuyno said Canoy was reportedly preparing breakfast at around 5:00 a.m. when two men on board a motorcycle arrived.

The passenger reportedly alighted and shot Canoy from behind.

She was taken to the Minglanilla District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. (FREEMAN)
