Talisay cops to keep scorecards

Brenda Batuto - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The policemen under his command will be evaluated weekly and the evaluations will appear in a scorecard, Talisay City Police Station officer-in-charge Superintendent Elmer Lim said.

Assessing policemen is in conformity with the order issued by the Philippine National Police.

Each scorecard will have items such as mobile patrolling of streets, saturation drives, and checkpoints.

Lim said each policeman will grade himself whether he has fulfilled his duties or not.

The scorecard will also serve as the policeman’s attendance record.

If no grade appears on one’s card, it means he has failed to perform his duties or was just too lazy to work, Lim said.

The erring policeman will then face legal action, he said. (FREEMAN)
