Dead man found in Talisay remains unidentified

Brenda Batuto - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City Police until yesterday have not established the identity of a man whose body, which bears multiple stab wounds, was found by a passerby Wednesday evening in sitio Ranger, barangay Pooc, Talisay City.

PO3 Benedicto Lasque said the police have not found anything that would help identify the dead person.

The body was brought by the police to Saint Francis Funeral Home in barangay Bulacao, Talisay City.

The police described the dead person fair in complexion, in his early 30s, 5’4” tall, having a small build, and wearing black short pants and a black sweatshirt with red stripes.

The police have theorized that the man’s killer could have been very angry considering the number of times the man was stabbed.

The police also said signs in the area would suggest the dead man defended himself or fought his attacker.

His hands show wounds inflicted by a knife, the police said.

Police found a pair of blue slippers and a brown sandal.  (FREEMAN)
