Level 2 pusher eludes cops, three users arrested
CEBU, Philippines - A level 2 drug pusher eluded arrest while three other suspects were caught in a pot session in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue city last Thursday night.
Authorities pounced on the suspects following a tip from an informant that Jesus Peralta, 45, a level 2 drug pusher, was at the area and was the one who initiated the pot session.
PO2 Bryan Berenguer of the Centro Police station said they actually arrested Peralta, the subject of their buy-bust operation, through a buy-bust operation, but the suspect managed to escape just as the police were placing the three other suspects under arrest.
Peralta reportedly jumped into a swamp at the back of the makeshift house where the pot session was held and ran fast toward a dark area. The police failed to re-arrest him.
The three suspects caught having a pot session were identified as Ludirico Rosal, 34; Cesar Legaspi,31; and Renato Conje, all residents of Barangay Guizo. They are currently detained at the Centro Police Station pending the filing of appropriate charges against them. –/JMO (FREEMAN)
