Talisay SP commends policewoman

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City council has commended Police Inspector Margienett Yosores for having been chosen as most outstanding lady officer for her efficiency, integrity, and honesty by the Press Media in Manila. 

“Mrs. Yosores’s meritorious achievements bring honor and pride not only to her family but also to the City of Talisay as well. It is appropriate for the City of Talisay to acknowledge and recognize the ability of our Talisaynon,” the resolution, sponsored by Councilor Eduardo R. Gullas III, read.

Yosores, who was born in Tayasan, Negros Oriental and has been residing at sitio Holy Child, Tabunok, City of Talisay, entered the police force in September 18, 1997 and was assigned to the Talisay City Police Station.

She was designated to various sections. 

She entered in the lateral entrance on January 15, 2010 and designated as Chief Operation and Police Community Relations/Women and Children Protection Desk/Family Juvenile Gender Sensitive. 

For her 15 years in the service, Yosores was awarded by the Provincial Director, PRO7 as the Most Outstanding Policewoman of the year 2004 for the first district, and awarded by the Knights of Columbus. 

She was also awarded as the Best Women and Children Protection Desk in the year 2006 - Urban Category awarded by the Regional Director, Napolcom 7 and Regional Director, PRO7.  

According to Gullas, Yosores deserves to be commended for having accomplished many things for the Talisay City Police Station. 

Yosores was awarded by the Press Media Center in Manila last Dec. 1. (FREEMAN)
