Man "hangs" self after tiff with wife

CEBU, Philippines - A 59-year-old man committed suicide after an argument with his wife Monday morning at their house in barangay Tangke, Naga City.

Casimero Labang was found by his granddaughter Rhea Mel Cabatuan, 12, hanging by the neck inside their home.

Labang was taken to the Minglanilla District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.

Police said Casimero and his wife, Josefa Labang, had an argument around 5:30 in the morning of the same day. He was then found hanging a few hours later.

Police said Casimero had allegedly attempted to end his life twice.

The body was subjected to an autopsy to determine the real cause of his death.  (FREEMAN)
