Farmer found dead

CEBU, Philippines - A 55-year-old farmer was found dead at his farm Monday morning in barangay Dungga, Danao City.

The victim was identified as Paulino Rom, Jr., a resident of the barangay. He was found dead at around 7:30 in the morning.

Homicide investigator SPO1 Bryan Batiquin said Rom had burns in different parts of his body the cause of which has yet to be established.

Police suspect Rom was electrocuted.

Witnesses said Rom was last seen gathering mushrooms in the neighborhood Friday.

The body will be autopsied to determine the cause of death. (FREEMAN)
