CEBU,Philippines - The Mandaue City government yesterday turned over a total of 24 motorcycles to the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) and to the Traffic Enforcement Agency in Mandaue (TEAM).
Aside from the motorcycle, the city government also turned over a total of P1million worth of disaster preparedness equipment to the 27 barangays of the city.
Mayor Jonas Cortes personally turned over the motorcycles to MCPO director P Sr./Supt. Noel Gillamac and to TEAM director Edwin Ermac.
ABC president and city councilor Ernie Manatad received the equipment for the barangay captains.
Given to barangays were first-aid kits, portable oxygen tanks, portable fire extinguishers, three-function flashlights, among others.
Almost all of the 27 barangays have already created their Disaster Preparedness Brigades thanks to the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation (ERUF) that helped train personnel that comprise the brigades. (FREEMAN)
