Brgy. Umapad placed under state of calamity

CEBU, Philippines – The Mandaue City council yesterday approved in mass motion a “floor resolution” which declares barangay Umapad in Mandaue City under state calamity.
Now the city council can release money from its calamity fund to help residents that lost their homes to a fire Monday evening.
Damage to property was placed at P1.1 million.
The “floor resolution” was proposed by city councilor Diosdado Suico. – THE FREEMAN
