Tricycle driver slips, falls, dies

CEBU, Philippines - A tricycle driver died after allegedly losing his footing and falling to the floor while inside the comfort room in his home in barangay Poblacion, Talisay City Thursday.

It was alleged Nicanor Cordova, 46, was under the influence of liquor at that time.

Cordova was taken to the Talisay City District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police said Cordova was inside the comfort room to relieve himself. His wife and son investigated after hearing a loud thud.

They found Cordova lying on the floor unconscious.

The family said Cordova was suffering from hypertension.

Cordova’s body was taken to the St. Francis Funeral Homes for autopsy.
