Naga has new schools division superintendent

CEBU, Philippines - Department of Education Sec. Armin A. Luistro has designated a new schools division superintendent in Naga City. 

DepEd regional director Carmelita Dulangon led the installation of Dr. Senen Paulin in the presence of school officials, master teachers, Parents-Teachers Association of the 24 elementary and 22 public high school. 

First district Rep. Eduardo Gullas, Naga City Mayor Valdemar Chiong, and city officials also attended the installation of the new schools division superintendent.

Paulin took over the helm in place of Dr. Caridad Labe, who was promoted as assistance regional director of the DepEd-VII.

Paulin’s designation carried with it the authority to assume the powers, duties and responsibilities of a schools division superintendent and as such he is authorized to sign communications and approve appointments delegated to schools division superintendents. 

In her message, Dulangon enjoined the new division superintendent to be a good leader, one who takes care of her people, serves her people wholeheartedly, guides her people and make sure that the vision, mission and goals of the department are attained. 

“Bulahan kaayo si Dr. Paulin tungod kay ang mga opisyal sa Naga ingon man si 1st district Congressman Eduardo Gullas mihangop ug midawat sa pagdestino dinhi sa Naga,” Dulangon said. 

“You should practice always transparency aron way reklamo gikan sa mga ginikanan,” Dulangon said, adding that there should be transparency in using the Monthly Operating and Other Expenses (MOOE) for the benefit of the school. – THE FREEMAN
