Police arrest two men after robbery

CEBU, Philippines - Two men, after robbing a woman at gunpoint on board a jeepney yesterday dawn in Mandaue City, were arrested minutes later.

Filolyn Tanudra, 23, single, of barangay Poblacion, Liloan town was on board a multicab when two men held her up while the vehicle was in barangay Basak, Mandaue City.

The two men, who took her shoulder bag which contained P1,000, a cellular phone, and some documents, got off the jeepney and casually walked away.

Tanudra went to the Basak police station and reported the robbery.

The police quickly took off and found the two men a few meters from the police station walking casually.

Arrested were Carl Bugtai, 18, and Ferdinand Manlangit, 32, both residents of barangay Pitogo, Consolacion town.

The police seized shabu and a .38 cal. revolver from Manlangit.

Bugtai also yielded shabu.

The two men are now detained at the Basak police station.
