Two men arrested for robbing Korean
CEBU, Philippines - An alleged notorious robber and a cohort were arrested for allegedly breaking into a Korean national’s house in sitio Tabay in barangay Labogon, Mandaue City Sunday noon.
Gerardo Villaflor alias “Pikat,” 24, and Celso Guido, 18, were arrested by men from the Basak police station led by its station chief P Sr./Insp. Wilson Abot in sitio Bato in Carbon public market, Cebu City where they hid after the robbery.
Police said the robbers entered the apartment of Hyeram Shim, 24, at around 11:30 noon and took two big bags that contained Shim’s gadgets that included a Canon digital camera and an electric fan.
Police said the alleged robbers took refuge in Guido’s aunt’s house.
Guido was arrested on Sunday while Villaflor escaped that day.
He was arrested the following day when he came back for his clothes.
Police seized shabu from Guido. He said sold to his cousin the digital camera.
Seized from Villaflor were alleged shabu and a gun.
Abot said Villaflor is known as the “Akyat Bahay King” and has been involved in at least six burglaries in the city. - THE FREEMAN
