CEBU, Philippines - Over P2.3 million in financial assistance for infrastructure projects is being distributed by Governor Gwendolyn Garcia in different barangays in the city of Naga.
The money will be used for renovation of roads and improvement of barangay buildings, among others.
Garcia, who was in the city yesterday morning for the Inauguration of Enan Chiong Activity Center, handed over checks to the barangays.
Barangays Colon and Cantao received P200,000 for the construction and renovation of multi-purpose buildings, while barangays Balirong, Lanas, Mainit, Naalad, Patag, South Poblacion, Tagjagumit, Tuyan, and West Poblacion received P100,000 each for the rehabilitation and improvement of day care centers and playgrounds.
North Poblacion also received P200,000 for the repair and rehabilitation of its multi-purpose building.
Mayor Valdemar Chiong received P378,000 for the completion of the construction of the Senior Citizen Building.
Cebu’s first district Provincial Board Member Julian “Teban” Daan also handed a check worth P280,000 to Naga City for its socio-cultural activity.
