Sari-sari store owner arrests alleged thief

CEBU, Philippines - A convenience store owner in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City arrested Friday dawn a man after finding his cellular phone in his possession.

Anthony Canvahal, 28, married, arrested Givvie Demol, 25, single, of barangay Looc, Danao City while in possession of a cellular phone worth P1,600.

Canvahal said he wondered why the phone was in the man’s possession when he remembered leaving it in his store.

He also wondered why Demol’s companion left when he arrived at his store.

When he checked his store, he found the doorknob destroyed.

He immediately arrested Demol.

He also lost a subwoofer which cost P3,000. 

Demol is now detained at the Subangdaku police station.
