CEBU, Philippines - A tricycle driver attacked Wednesday evening a 52-year-old traffic enforcer in barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City, sending him to hospital for a cut on the forehead.
Traffic enforcer Brenulfo Braganza Jr. lives in sitio Humay-Humay in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City was attacked by a certain “Onyot,” a tricycle driver after an argument.
Police said that after Braganza had blown his whistle, “Onyot” shouted “foul.”
This must have irritated Braganza, who confronted the driver. After an exchange of words, the driver allegedly challenged Braganza to a fistfight.
But, as alleged, the driver did not wait for an answer; he allegedly put on brass knuckles and punched Braganza. He fled on his tricycle.
Police said charges are being readied against the attacker. – THE FREEMAN
