CEBU, Philippines - A driver of former Lapu-Lapu City legal officer Michael Dignos was killed by motorcycle-riding robbers when he and his live-in partner refused to give up their bag yesterday dawn in barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.
Francisco Alcer, 29, a resident of sitio Soong, barangay Mactan was taken to the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital after he took a bullet in the body.
Police said Alcer and his live-in partner were traveling on a motorcycle when one of three men riding on a different motorcycle grabbed her bag.
When she held on to it, one of the men fired, hitting Alcer.
The motorcycle crashed and Alcer and his live-in partner fell to the ground.
Alcer died at the hospital while she was treated for minor injuries.
The police failed to find the robbers.
