Security guard shoots, wounds drink partner

CEBU, Philippines - The police are looking for a security guard who shot and wounded his 21-year-old drinking partner Friday night in barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City.

Edgardo Villamor was taken to hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound on the leg. The police have yet to identify the guard.

Police said the guard and Villamor were having a drink when they suddenly quarreled.

After Villamor allegedly boxed the guard, the guard went to the bunkhouse and came back with his service .38 cal. revolver and shot Villamor.

Villamor was taken to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital and was later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) where he is now confined.

SPO1 Manolito Abellanosa, homicide investigator said the police will file charges against the guard.  (FREEMAN)
