CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City Police Station needs additional patrol cars.
Presently, TCPS has only two service vehicles, an Innova and a Hilux back-to-back type, which police chief Supt. Eddie Recamara said is not enough for an increasing population.
Recamara, however, said despite the remaining serviceable patrol cars “we’ve managed to provide the basic services to the public,” especially in terms of maintaining the peace and order.
The two Terrano patrol cars, which were turned over to them in 2006, are beyond repair.
At the moment, Recamara said the private motorcycles of his men are being utilized.
The police chief said he requested the city government last year and again this year for at least a mini van.
He said the Innova would break down after non-stop use. — (FREEMAN)
