CEBU, Philippines - The feeding program of the Villar Foundation Inc., which was started last year, will continue to feed indigent children as well as extended assistance to fire victims in cities and towns in metro Cebu.
Last month, fire victims and more than 500 children in barangays Suba Pasil and Pardo benefited from the program.
The foundation also extended assistance to fire victims in barangay Maghaway in Talisay City.
Jai Hinautan, one of the in-charge of the program in Cebu, told The FREEMAN that a feeding program in barangay Maghaway in Talisay City has been scheduled.
Hinautan said the foundation coordinated with the office of first district Rep. Eduardo Gullas when assistance to fire victims in barangay Maghaway in Talisay City was done.
The Villar Foundation’s chairman is former congresswoman Cynthia Villar.
Rep. Gullas is a close ally of Senator Manuel Villar and his wife, former congresswoman Cynthia Villar.
Hinautan said the program was started in Cebu last year and they will continue this year.
“Nakita man gud ni Maam Cynthia Villar kining problema sa panglawas sa atong kabatan mao nga gipakusgan gayud niya kining pagpatuman sa feeding program,” Hinautan said.
She said the foundation does only concentrate in Metro Manila but also other cities and municipalities. (FREEMAN)
