Samsam Gullas brings free "tuli" to barangays

CEBU, Philippines - At least 170 indigent children availed yesterday of free circumcision in barangay Tabunok, Talisay City which was facilitated by Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas, through the office of his grandfather, first district Rep. Eduardo Gullas.

Samsam, who is being groomed for a seat in Congress next year, said free circumcision and free medicine would be available to boys in 22 barangays of the city.

“Why tuli? It is something every little boy will have to do in his life. And we’re giving it to them for free, including medicine,” he said, adding that the cost of getting circumcised in a private hospital cost P1,500 or thereabouts, which not every family can afford.

The free circumcision has been an annual project of his grandfather, which is now handed down to him, being the next-in-line.

Meanwhile, Samsam said the free service will be brought to barangay Candulawan today, which will be held at the Candulawan Elementary School), and then to Bulacao.

To do the circumcision are Dr. Lino Alanzado and his medical staff.  (FREEMAN)
