Alimaong "datus" refuse to accept 6 men as members
CEBU, Philippines - Alleged tribal leaders of the Kinatas-ang Kahugpungan sa Kapupud-an Datus Alimaong (KKDA) yesterday disowned six persons who were arrested last week over a land dispute as members of their group.
A certain Datu Tapas and Datu Sibuyan visited The FREEMAN yesterday to disown them.
They said their group is the legitimate one being registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The two “datus” yesterday said those who are involved in a land dispute with lot owner lawyer Raul Sesbreño in barangay Lawaan were indeed once members of their group but who later bolted to form their own group.
Both men claimed that the original name of their group was “Supreme Council of Datus Alimaong (SCODA).”
But when a certain Datu Bontito Leon Kilat and his members separated from their group, they decided to change it to (KKDA).
Both Tapas and Sibuyan alleged that Leon Kilat’s group has been committing wrongdoings after the breakup.
