"Guardians" in Mandaue feed more than 1K kids

CEBU, Philippines - The Guardians Brotherhood Incorporated in sitio Lower Malibu in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City recently facilitated a mass feeding for more than 1,000 children.

Bob Malazarte, founder of the Mandaue City Guardians Brotherhood Incorporated, said his group is not only active in maintaining peace and order but is also concerned about health problems.

He said he is grateful to newly promoted Guardians founder Engr. Dennis Villamor and Mandaue City Jail Warden Jessie Calumpang for the support the group needed to make the feeding a success.

Newly-recruited member Mandaue City Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede also extended help.

Malazarte also said Guardians board members will meet today at the Mandaue City Sports Complex for its annual general assembly.

Vice Mayor Jejomar Binay has been invited to be guest speaker of the gathering.
