Cayetanos extend cash assistance to Compostela

CEBU, Philippines - The municipality of Compostela recently received medical assistance from the offices of Senator Allan Peter Cayetano and his sister Senator Pia Cayetano.

Compostela Mayor Joel Quiño received a medical referral amounting to P100,000 from Rey Martinez, the representative of the senators.

The simple turn over ceremony was made during the 38-year birthday party of Mayor Quiño at the town’s sports complex.

Quiño said the medical referral would greatly help indigent residents meet financial obligations at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Martinez said the medical referral was granted in response to the request of Mayor Quino.

Senator Allan Peter Cayetano and his sister have deposited P5 million at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

More than 1,000 patients now avail of the program, Martinez said.

Martinez said the two senators will continue to help Compostela. –
