Worker Electrocuted

CEBU, Philippines - A construction worker died on the spot after being electrocuted Tuesday morning.

Albert Abella, 26, single, of Davao City works as a steelman for Brusco Construction, the company hired to put up an extension building for the Church of the Latter Day Saints in barangay Jagobiao in Mandaue City.

The Basak police station said Abella was working on the front door of the church when he accidentally touched the tip of a live wire.

A co-worker said he brought Abella to Eversley Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. - THE FREEMAN
