Men wearing bonnets rob janitorial company

CEBU, Philippines - Three men wearing bonnets robbed the other day at around 1:45 p.m. a janitorial services company along Hernan Cortes Street in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City of cash and jewelry.

Police said Exel-Tech Manpower Services & Janitorial Inc. operations manager Josephine Butcon, 43, married, lost P92,000 of her personal money, a P20,000 piece of jewelry, and P10,000 Samsung Galaxy phone.

Also reported missing was the company’s P158,000.

Police said one of the men was armed and threatened to shoot two employees, while the other man went to Butcon’s office.  A third man acted as a lookout and driver of a motorcycle, police said.

Butcon is also one of the owners of the company, the police said.

The three men quickly left on a motorcycle without a license plate number.

Police said the incident will be investigated to determine whether it was an inside job or not.

But so far the victims are uncooperative in the investigation, the police said. (FREEMAN)
