CEBU, Philippines - A man who was facing a homicide case in his hometown in Camotes, Cebu was shot and killed yesterday noon in barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City.
Arnel Colasito, single, a native of barangay Cagcagan, Puro, Camotes, Cebu died on the spot after a lone assailant shot him in the head and body with a .45 cal. pistol.
The killer walked away casually after the shooting.
The police said Colasito was living with his cousin who owns a radiator shop in barangay Bangkal, Lapu-Lapu City for the past two weekS after leaving his hometown allegedly because of a pending case.
PS/Insp. Conrado Manatad, chief of police station 2 in barangay Mactan said Colasito’s bag contained a copy of a provincial prosecutor’s resolution which states the frustrated homicide charge filed against him.
Manatad had theorized Colasito must have gone into hiding to avoid arrest.
Police found two empty cal. 45 shells at the crime scene.
Witnesses said the man was walking back to his cousin’s house after buying vegetables from a satellite market when shot.
