Tricycle driver stabbed in barangay Tabunok

CEBU, Philippines - A 31-year-old tricycle driver is still in critical condition after getting stabbed yesterday morning by another tricycle driver in barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.

Deogenes Libusana Idulsa of sitio Hollow Block, barangay Tabunok sustained a stab wound on the chest and another on the abdomen.

He was taken to the Talisay District Hospital, but was later transferred to the state-run Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

Police identified Idulsa’s attacker as Roy Abaquita Pacada, 47, a resident of Pang-pang, barangay San Isidro of the same city.

Pacada who was arrested by PO1 Gilbert Cabañero of the Mabolo Police Station is detained at the Talisay City Police Station.

Police said Idulsa alleged Pacada had tried to run over him with his tricycle.

During a brief exchange of words, Idulsa dared Pacada to a fistfight, police said, but Pacada did not accept the challenge. Instead drew a knife and stabbed Idulsa.

Pacada was arrested and a 10-inch long folding knife was seized from him. - THE FREEMAN
