CEBU, Philippines - Raised from the “P1 for cancer victims project” launched three months ago by the company as part of its corporate social responsibility, Coffee Dream turned over Friday an initial P21,112 to the Kythe Foundation-Cebu.
Businessman Glenn Soco launched the P1 for Kythe Foundation-Cebu during the company’s 15th year anniversary celebration attended by Miss Universe third runner up Shamcey Supsup.
For every cup of coffee sold nationwide, one peso is taken from the proceeds and set aside for the project.
In behalf of the foundation, Shalom Rea Bernalis, Child Life Coordinator of Kythe Foundation, received the money handed over by Soco.
Soco, on the other hand, expressed his thanks to Cebuanos who responded to his call for assistance to cancer victims admitted at Perpetual Succour Hospital, many of them come from neighboring towns and cities.
For her part, Bernalis thanked Soco and the management of Coffee Dream for spearheading the project. - THE FREEMAN
