CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City Government has created a clean and green team to intensify de-clogging of drainage and manholes in the city’s streets.
Mayor Paz Radaza said the de-clogging efforts are in response to the floods that occured in the city last December. Hundred of the residents of Barangay Basak and neighboring barangays were affected when floods hit the city.
The de-clogging efforts are part of the massive clean-up drive in the entire city.
Radaza also directed barangay captains to intensify garbage collection. Some barangay captains have been fined for their failure to collect garbage properly. - THE FREEMAN
