Construction worker arrested for indiscriminate firing of gun

CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested yesterday afternoon in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City a 27-year-old construction worker for alleged indiscriminate firing of a gun.

Danilo Sabroso, 27, single, of sitio Kasoy in barangay Bucao, Toledo City was arrested by responding SWAT team led by SPO2 Gilson Rosende after residents in the area heard a burst of gunfire. 

The police caught Sabroso with a .22 cal. magnum revolver in his possession.

Sabroso said he fired the gun to scare someone he saw taking pieces of wood from the construction site.

Homicide chief P/iNSP. Ramil Morpos said the police will check Sabroso’s background to find out whether he is involved in criminal activities. (FREEMAN)
