CEBU, Philippines - A 39-year-old man traveling on his motorcycle died in a collision with a dump truck Wednesday night in barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City.
The man was identified by PO3 Henry Diano of the city’s traffic division as Edgardo Borja of barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City.
No one took down the license plate of the dump truck, which sped off shortly after the incident.
Borja was driving a Honda XRM with plate number 4483-GA from Minglanilla town on his way to Cebu City.
Based on the investigation of the traffic police, the dump truck was also driving in the same direction when it hit the rear part of Borja’s motorcycle.
The impact separated Borja from his motorcycle.
He sustained several injuries in the different parts of the body.
Members of Talisay Rescue Emergency Action Team (TREAT) immediately sent Borja to the Talisay City District Hospital, but was then transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) where he eventually died. (FREEMAN)
