Talisay SP gives nod to transmission project

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City council recently approved a measure allowing the construction of the Colon-Cebu 138 KV transmission project of the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) within its jurisdiction.

But before it was approved, Councilor Semy Cabuenas manifested that NGCP should be liable for whatever “distraction” that may come during the construction period.

The project is designed to augment the power supply and for a more reliable power delivery system in Cebu, said Councilor Rodi Cabigas, proponent of the resolution.
