CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza has told all school principals and head teachers to be ready to turn their schools into evacuation centers when typhoons and other calamities strike.
Radaza did not wait for school officials and teachers to visit her at city hall, she herself visited public elementary and high schools.
Radaza told school principals and head teachers that shelter is the number one concern of the city during catastrophes.
“Basta muabot ang bisan unsa nga katalagman importante gayud kaayo nga magtinabangay kita sa pagsulbad sa problema,” Radaza said.
She has also directed barangay captains and officials to coordinate with school officials. – (FREEMAN)
